know and we will try to accommodate you.
Is there a discount for multiple classes, siblings, early
payment?
Yes, there is a $2.00 discount per child and a $2.00 off if
that child is in multiple classes. Academic Ballet,
Dance Teams, Company have larger discounts.
What is required for Recitals?
DANCE:
Students are not required to be in a recital or multiple
recitals. When you register a letter is beside your class day and
time. This is the recital you are assigned. If there is
an "M" it means that this class may have more than one recital
because siblings may alter the recital assignment. You will
receive paperwork in November with assigned recital letters.
When you forward deposits this tells us that you would like to be a
part of the recital.

What is the Pointe requirement and ballet
levels?
Ballet technique requires time in the class room. As you progress, time
increases with your level. When you move to Ballet level II/III you still need
an addiitonal level of Ballet which is presented in the program. Pointe
requires a professional eye to be sure the students are progressing correctly
and to avoid injury. There is not a time limit of when or how much training
before you reach a level, it is completely dependent upon the individual
students work ethic, talent, body type and understanding of correct placement.
When the student reaches those levels the teacher increases her time on Pointe
within the classroom.
At the level of Pointe I there will be time in the classroom that the students
place their pointe shoes on and begin taking the more and more class time on
pointe. They will also begin to wear their pointe shoes for choreography in
their Pointe I class or Pointe II class.
A student taking level II/III Ballet must be in two classes of Ballet a week.
A student in the pointe program must take at least 1.5 hours of Ballet/Pointe
and an additional hour of ballet technique. See our schedules page for the
ballet program for higher levels of Ballet requirements.

What are your recital requirements?
- Recitals: Optional but 98% of the school participates in the program. We
send paperwork out in November and this is when parents make the decision to
participate or not.
Cost:
- Costume: 75-85.00 for younger students 85.00-95.00 for older students.
(Most perform in two dances and need additional pieces)
- Informal Recital fee: Approximately 20.00 This fee covers the rental of facility,
custodial, lighting, sound, additional area for pictures to be taken....
- The informal Rehearsal or Day of the Arts is a chance for the
students to see all different styles of dance and levels of dance. All
are invited and there is no fee at the door. Students have pictures taken and then
come backstage to perform. It is a Day of the Arts and people are coming
and going throughout the day. A reminder that this is a rehearsal
and there is not special accommodations for seating, just an invitation
to watch. Students may leave when their dance is complete or stay
an watch some of the performances. Pictures are taken on the day of
thearts.
- Formal Recital:
Dinner Theatre- A wonderful
highlight that parents and families rave about our unique setting and
wonderful evening for parents and families! Students perform in a more formal setting.
Approximately $48.00 per person for Dinne. Parents must purchase at least 1
ticket and we only limit tickets if there is close to a sellout. This is a very popular show and families have loved it. We have been
doing this for 22 years. The show is a combination of levels and ages. It is exciting for the younger students and very entertaining for
parents and families. The recital is within the first three weeks of June.
As the girls get older could the teacher start incorporating more technique
and focusing on them strengthening their skills rather than their dances? They
are in a Ballet/Jazz class.
When you combine two
art forms in a half hour there is not enough time to concentrate on technique.
They should enroll in a Non performing Ballet Tech
or Jazz tech class for this.
We can always add an hour onto their schedule as
well if we have 5 interested but there is not enough time to incorporate all of
this in one hour.
This would be stressful to the kids and teacher and not
very effective.
Our advanced program is all about this.
Tell them to email me at
info@paperformingarts.com if they
are interested in our advanced
NOTE: Our advanced program is designed to
guide you to bring the students to higher levels of dance. They
are welcome to auditon at the age of 7 and older. These auditions
are for placement and are designed to assist the more advanced student
in higher levels of achievement in dance. Our artistic staff for
this program chooses the programs and makes suggestions. In an
audition the student is given the highest level they can participate in.
If these hours are too much then the student may have the option to
choose a lower level program with less required hours.
